How to Rope a McCoy Hell Yeah! edition by Sable Hunter The Hell Yeah! Series Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Cato and Heath's story! I love all the Hell Yeah! series of books by Sable Hunter and await each of them with anticipation. I was not disappointed with Cato and Heath's story. Heath is the first of the McCoy cousins to get his story told. And the issues that Aron and the boys have had are going to seem miniscule compared to the cousins issues if little hints in this book are any indication. I love how the characters from previous books pop up in newer books. Cato, although deaf has quite a sense of humor and I love the way she gets Heath to stop being so stuffy! I don't want to give spoilers, but I still think about the happenings at Dead Man's Well, and it invades my dreams sometimes. Really good read!
How to Rope A McCoy ( Hell Yeah ) is a wonderfully written story by one of my favorite authors. She has a lot of great books out there. This series by her tells you about each McCoy and there journey to love. There is even stories on there closes friends and how they fell in love. This particular book is about Heath McCoy the eldest cousin to Aron McCoy from the first book in this series. Heath is a kind, brave, good looking cowboy who was ready to marry his first love but got stood up at the alter. Because of this event he built a wall around his heart. Having one nightstands and never opening his heart again to getting hurt or falling in love. That is until he meets the beautiful Cato who loves him like no other with all her heart, body, and soul. Hoping that, that will be enough to rope her McCoy this story has some suspense and a whole lot of heat!!! If you like reading a book or series where the author does such a great job telling the story that you feel like you know the characters and your part of there family than this book and the entire series is for you. They are a must read.
It is a little out of the normal for a Contemporary Romance. This author writes about people with Disabilities. She does it with finesse and grace. She create a riveting tale for all to read. But it is awesome that she write it in 2 different states Hotter or Sweeter. So no matter is you are an erotic romance lover or a traditional romance lover, there is something for everyone. This story has emotional issues for the hero, and physical issues with the heroine. The story is well written, with a prolog that helps with the understanding of these two people. I will not give spoilers, but it is a well plotted and written book. Just beware when buying it to make sure you get the version for you, Hotter or Sweeter. But get one of them, you won't be sorry.
I have been reading Sable book's for a few years. Her hot cowboy series,"The Hell Yeah" series is my absolute favorite. It like going home and being with family. It's my comfort series,I can curl up and read and escape.I'm ashamed to say,I haven't read one in along time, mostly with so many book's being released I just don't have the money to buy them all.I have most of them and thanks to Sable she generously puts some on sale or free.
This is a series but you don't have to read them in order to enjoy them.I haven't read them all,but How to rope a McCoy,caught my eye so I bought it because I have been in a reading slump. And boy am I glad I did.Heath McCoy is a alpha cowboy that meets his match with Cato.Heath was left standing at the alter by Amy and Heath decided marriage wasn't for him.One night stands is all he can handle.Cato has left a lonely life with a mother that's ashamed of her because of her weight and because of a Childhood illness that left her blind. After Cato is grown and her mother loses her life to cancer,Cato decides to play catch up and live life at its fullest.Cato was a woman who met a man and she didn't play game's like most heroine do these days to catch her man.
The reason I love Sable book's is because her characters aren't perfect. They have character flaws like us.But they all have a strong family bond,Don't ever mess with a McCoy because you will have the whole family on you.
I don't want to ruin the book for you,I just hope you will give this book or mind,I any of Sable book's a try.Like I said before it's like going home and catching up with family and your always welcome at the McCoy table to reminisce.
I'm just sorry it took me so long for a visit,it won't happen again
Thank you Sable for creating the McCoys, cousin's and all.
There are several different lines going on here; but the couple involved is Heath and Cato. Heath is a McCoy, oldest brother, has his fingers involved in many business aspects and is done with women (famous last words). He literally was left at the alter when his bride to be left him for his arch enemy.
Cato was ill at age 11 and list her hearing. Her father had left and she never knew him and her mother only wanted her because of what she could do for her image. When Cato became deaf, her mother was bitterly cruel to her.
Now grown up, Cato is at Avery and Isaac' s wedding. Heath is there, being Isaac' s cousin. They meet when Cato dumps a glass of punch on Heath' s tux.......twice.
Because both have some emotional baggage, their relationship is up and down. Cato falls for Heath quickly, but he has told her the can only be friends, with benefits but only for a month.
This a great story with lots of love scenes, danger and intrigue. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and the series.
